Founded in 1994 in Italy, GEM develops, manufactures, and markets innovative medical devices with a strong focus on research and technological advancement.
In 1995, GEM introduced Glubran®, its first synthetic surgical glue, followed by Glubran® 2, a next-generation formula suitable for endovascular and internal use, both CE certified. Over the years, Glubran® 2 has become internationally recognized for its versatility and reliability in various surgical specialties.
To facilitate its use, GEM has designed dedicated spray devices, nebulizers, and Glutack, a fixation device for mesh anchoring in hernia repair procedures — all developed to optimize precision, safety, and performance. The company also expanded its adhesive line with Glubran® Tiss, a skin adhesive now distributed in more than 40 countries worldwide.
As of January 2025, GEM proudly became part of H.B. Fuller Medical Adhesive Technologies, strengthening its global reach and innovation capacity in the field of medical adhesives.
